Chabad of Westport/Weston and Wilton is embarking on an exciting new project:
collecting recipes from our entire community to be published in a beautiful spiral bound cookbook! Each recipe will feature the name of its contributor. Proceeds from cookbook sales will go towards outfitting the soon-to-be remodeled kitchen in our Chabad Center.

This book is not just about kugels! We welcome all recipes including family favorites such as a soup, salad, casserole, or pasta dish that you serve during the week. Our chapters will be organized into sections on Soups, Salads, Side Dishes (which includes vegetables as well as grains), Mains, Desserts, and Holidays.

Because this is a Chabad project, please keep in mind kosher guidelines regarding not mixing meat with milk. Dairy substitutes such as coconut or almond milk and butter for margarine (or Earth Balance) are welcome. Desserts can be dairy as well as pareve.

Please send us 1 and up to 4 of your favorite recipes. ( Click for Recipe Form)

Print or type your recipe(s) on the attached recipe form. Please use the easy to follow format. Be sure to put a title on your recipe. Feel free to include a line or two about why you enjoy the dish or its origins, but a note on the recipe is completely optional.

Return your recipes to Melissa Roberts by email melissarose212@gmail.com or mail to Melissa at 4 Pritchard Lane, Westport, CT 06880 by MAY 1st so the book can be turned over to the publisher on time. Our goal is to have the cookbook in print before the Rosh Hashanah holiday this fall!

We are also holding a contest to name the cookbook’s title. Please submit a title suggestion along with your recipe. We invite all children to participate! The winner will have their name recognized in the book’s introduction and receive a free copy of the cookbook.

When submitting your recipe, don’t forget to reserve copies for yourself as noted on the form. Cookbooks will be priced at $18.00 each.

These personalized cookbooks not only make great gifts for yourself, but also for your family and friends. Think: kids who love to experiment in the kitchen, college students, young adults setting up their first home, grandparents or other loved ones excited to see your name in print!

Please contact a member of the cookbook committee (below) with any questions. We thank you in advance for your time and participation!
