Our choice to have or not to have a relationship?
G-d can be found within the world because His word animates all of creation. The only choice we truly have is whether we seek out the truth of G-d's existence in everything or not.

Rabbi Fine you made memtion of the word emotion to which there is only evidence of this in our live because there was a person or thing to recieve the benefit. Is this also true of our relationship with G-d as to we are allowed to have a relationship with G-d based on freedom of choice, and is it a choice or has the creator of the universe place within us a spark of his divine nature.

RE: Creating a Vessel
It depends for what purpose one is losing weight -- what is your motivation: if personal reasons are the motivation, then it is not G-dly; however, if one is motivated to get healthier in order to fulfill one's purpose, to serve G-d, then losing weight is a vessel for G-dliness.
